WOOHOO!!

I am waiting to hear back about a salary package, but I GOT OFFERED THE JOB!! Teaching 20 month-2 1/2 year olds!! and it is only about 2 miles from my house. I was praying all week that I would get the offer today, so I could give my mean boss at least one week's notice, just to be decent. If I hear back soon enough (and I should) then I can call and let her know today!! YES!!

ps-thanksgiving went really, really well too!! too much food but isn't there always?? i loved it!! if it didn't cost so much to buy all the food, i wish we could do it every week!!!!!!!

so, today i had a job interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for a few weeks, maybe even months, i have been all but promised a management position with omaha steaks. but, i do not believe that that will ever happen. they are holding it out in front of my nose, dragging me along :( and then this monday morning i found a string of emails between my boss and our district manager which confirmed the things i had been thinking!! super yucky feeling...BUT, there's always hope!! i got a call last week (actually 2 calls) from a KinderCare right by my house, and i interviewed with them this morning. everything went really well, and she just needs to have my background checked and then hear from corporate, but it sounds like i may have a NEW JOB!! WOOHOO!! rob and i have been talking about goals and challenges for the next year, and this new job would be right in step. funny how i can get so caught up in thinking about myself and my plans, and then finally realize that this is all GOD'S design and idea. thanks goodness, huh??

on another note, our church's Christmas production is this weekend. we have dress rehearsals this thurs and fri, and then performances sat and sun. rob is not acting this year, but is the director. this year, I will be the one on stage, if you can believe it!! i am playing in the pit orchestra, and then also playing a song on stage with two guitars and a tenor sax. should be interesting!! i haven't had to memorize music since about 5th grade, but i think it will go well. i am excited, and also excited that it's almost over. by this point in the season of rehearsals, it is just tiring...and rob and i have different rehearsals, so we are always running in opposite directions which is hard...

i miss college and college friends a little today. i am sad that i don't keep up better with most of you, and it is hard. so many of my high school friends are still in the area, plus church friends, but i was wearing my PPJ shirt to bed last week, and smiled thinking back on it, but then got sad, realizing that i don't keep in touch with almost anyone on that shirt!! stink, huh?? soo sorry, friends. i do miss you, and love you, and pray for you. i really do. and althought rob hasn't even met a lot of you, he knows good stories and could prolly pick you out of a crowd...

i think erika asked me about paris too...it was fantastic!! it was my third time there, and it was great to know my way around and be able to show rob around. our hotel was really, really close to the eiffel tower, which i love that!! it was so central to a lot of things. we had a really great time, and a nice anniversary. we went up the eiffel tower that night, and had a nice dinner nearby. it was perfect!! (if i ever figure out how to post pictures, i'll post some. i bought a HUGE memory stick by accident, and we took 455 pictures in one week in paris!!)

that's all for now. i have to get ready for middle school youth group, and maybe practice my cello a little too!!

have a happy wed evening!!

megan
